My Bio

UPDATE: December 2022

Greetings strangers of the Internet, I am TAN1771.

Here is a little snippet of what content you can expect to find on my account, and boundaries I hope will be respected.

STILL ART

Since childhood, traditional drawing has been my creative outlet, even if I do not do enough of it nowadays. Cartoonish characters are usually what I focus on, be it their visual designs or interactions with other characters. Landscapes and realism are areas I do not often touch, but I have experimented with these mediums a few times before. Also: doodling. LOOOOOOTS of random doodling.

I usually just use pencils or pens whenever I get the chance to draw. I would like to incorporate colors into my work, though this whole "color theory" thing will be a hurdle I will need to tackle first before I take my leap of faith there. :scared:

Digital drawing is another method I have dabbled in a few times, but I like to practice more of this sometime in the near future as well.

ANIMATION

Growing up watching animated shows and films eventually built up my fascination in wanting to learn how they are produced. It is such an amazing spectacle now knowing a huge team of creatives dedicate their time and money into making a piece of entertainment we casually indulge in.

I once thought being an animator was my desired future career, though I changed my mind as I did not like the idea of company deadlines taking the fun out of creating films. I rather take hours in my day to enjoy the process of making my characters come to life on screen. Deadlines are a nuisance anyway. [JVC] :nah:

REQUESTS, ART TRADES, COMMISSIONS?

Ah, yes. The very common question many encounter on these creative sites.

First and foremost, I no longer accept requests. Long story short, my prior experience with it turned incredibly sour and was no longer a fun experience. I have an old journal going over my reasoning in more depth if you wish to know why.

I am also not interested in doing art trades or paid commissions at this time. That might change if the situation calls for it, but I rather just enjoy what I choose to create with no strings attached. Again, I want to have fun with what I do and not be put under pressure by anything or anyone.

WANNA BE FRIENDS?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Not only am I not interested, I personally do not believe you become genuine friends when you just come to someone's account and randomly ask, “Hey, can we be friends?” or “Can I add you to my friends list?” I am VERY careful with who I decide to have in my life, so my relationship circle is already extremely small. Trust is a big thing even in acquaintanceship, so why would I put my immediate trust out to random strangers online? No thanks, not taking the chance.

You might be looking for some good companionship in your life and believe the world of the Internet will grant you those opportunities. The desire to interact with others itself is not a bad thing, and for many, socializing is considered a necessity for their well being. But if we are being serious for a moment, let us not forget that there are people on the internet who will take on a fake identity, befriend other innocent users online, just to take advantage or gain something out of them. These situations can lead to cyberbullying, adults grooming minors and children, identity theft, and so on. All because we can hide behind a screen and keep a lot of our true intentions hidden. This is all the more reason why I keep my barriers up, and I encourage others to do the same for their own safety.

COMMENTING

Just because I do not intend on building friendships on social media, it does not mean I am against hearing your thoughts. I am more than open to receiving constructive feedback as I know I have many areas I can certainly improve on with my art skills.

The only thing I ask is if you end up commenting on my account, please let us try and keep things civil. We will have our different tastes and opinions on many subjects, and I fully intend on respecting those that are different from mine. And if you truly do not like the things I post, please remember there is always that back arrow button for you to leave anytime you wish.

CONCLUSION

That is about it I think. For any and all passerby stumbling upon my gallery, I hope some of it meets your liking. If not, no worries. There are plenty of other creative DA users on this platform to look at. No hard feelings here. :salute:

Other than all that, please enjoy and happy browsing! DeviantArt Flag

I opened a case with the FBI on you, for false information, and spreading rumors about others, while also talking about cult topics.

Elwood... I told you I had enough of you. Stop pretending to be someone you are not.

TAN1771

Stop harassing Jay, he's been through too much.

Once you understand what he's been through, THEN you can harass him.

Oh and one more thing, he had to move because he almost was arrested.

Elwood, I know this is also you. Enough with your games with hiding behind fake accounts.

Yeah, and you're retarded.

YOU CAN'T LIVE OFF OF ART COMMISSIONS!

What are you trying to do, Elwood? Provoke me? You only remind me of that terrible requester that I had years ago. And just like him, you result to calling me a malicious name. The fact you are not getting the reaction you want out of me only continues to contradict your previous claims of maturing and becoming a better person. To think my only problem with you was your greed in getting endless free art from a multitude of people you barley know. But now it is your disrespect to creators and their priorities that do not relate to you being the centre of their attention. How self-centered of you.

Are you also denying that many artists out in the world have no other option then to use art commissions to pay their bills, food and shelter? Yet, you go around finding artists on DA and try to get them to do free art for you because...reasons? Between the two, free requests are what can very well doom the artist to make ends meet. Your immature behaviour only shows how little you actually care about other people and they struggles other than your own.

If you have not before, you have officially disappointed me now with your rotten attitude. I hope to never receive another comment from you again.

From Festive's account

"Are you kidding me? About three years now (if not more), this dude is STILL making fake alternate accounts, making stories up to gain sympathy, spamming comments all over any DA artists account to get their attention, requesting endless of free art from these artists, JUST to formulate his own ideas and achieve popularity without doing much of the work HIMSELF?? I do not know whether to be surprised at this point by his narcissistic nature, or just gravely disappointed in his refusal to change for the better."

I did change. The whole asking people for requests thing was a game.

You & Festive need to seriously grow up, and move on. I am not a bad guy, I am mearly missunderstood. The asking artists for art thing was a bad evil game me and my friends were playing when we were young. I am now 18, and have no need to ask others for art.

And one more thing...

"without doing much of the work HIMSELF??"

Do you not understand the fucking concept of when someone CAN'T DO SOMETHING THEMSELEVES, or do you need to ask a scientist what it means. Goddamn I fucking hate when people bring up me drawing, since I used to eons ago.
